Poor Service from the Cut Flowers Department at Bagshot I purchased a 'Spring Jug Mother's Day Flower Arrangement' from the Longacres website a few days before Mother's Day for AM collection from their Bagshot store.Firstly, I never received confirmation from Longacres to say my flowers were ready for collection, despite the order confirmation clearly stating that I should await an email confirmation that the flowers were ready for collection before coming to collect them.Unfortunately, when I arrived to collect the flowers the day before Mother's Day I was presented with a much smaller arrangement of flowers in a completely different jug to the one I had seen online. When I explained to staff that the jug I had ordered was a different colour and much larger she told me that this was because they had run out and apparently it stated on the website that they are subject to availability (if it does state this somewhere, it is not clear).I asked the member of staff if it was possible to swap my arrangement for a bunch of pre-made flowers, bearing in mind there were not many arrangements left at this time of the day; I picked the ones most similar in price. When I took the pre-made bunch of flowers back to the till I was told I would have to pay the difference in price, despite the inconvenience which had been caused. The money was not the issue in this situation, it was the fact I could have been offered the pre-made bunch of flowers as a gesture of good will for the poor service I had received.I emailed customer services shortly after returning home and explained what had happened and instantly received a phone call and apology.
