Restaurant Introducing The Walled Garden & The Potting Shed Restaurant A Fresh approach to Dining! Our Vision One restaurant, two areas. The Walled Garden and The Potting Shed provides our customers with two distinct areas from which you can choose to sit and enjoy our delicious menu. Our patio area is also open on warmer days, providing the perfect place to enjoy a cold beverage… Our Menu Our new modern British restaurant adds a new meaning to the term ‘home grown’. Much of the produce will be grown in our own vegetable garden and locally reared rare breed pigs, cattle and lambs will make regular appearances on the menu. Our menu changes with the seasons. There is a large selection of sandwiches, light bites, lunch mains and desserts. We also offer a delicious breakfast and brunch menu, afternoon tea, and Sunday lunch menu. There is also a wide variety of wines, beer and cider by the glass and bottle. Our Head Chef We wanted to appoint an exceptional and creative chef to launch our new restaurant. Pete not only more than fulfilled that criteria but as a local business we are thrilled that he has lived and grown up in Oxted. We asked Pete about his life as a chef and what it means to be part of this venture: “From my first experience in a kitchen 18 years ago I have never looked back. I embarked on a journey that has taken me to country house hotels, restaurants and renowned Hotels including the London Waldorf. I have worked alongside prestigious chefs including Malcolm Baggott and most recently under the 2 star Michelin trained Andrew Wilson as Senior Sous Chef at the Ashdown Park Hotel. To love food, to be passionate about both fresh and quality ingredients is important. My role is to combine them into a memorable, healthy, visual and tasty meal made freshly for you – I hope you enjoy my menu” VIEW OUR CURRENT MENU Monday to Saturday     Sunday I have two passions in life, cooking and gardening, so I feel privileged taking on the role of head chef at knights. I am fortunate to be able to cook my choice of seasonally inspired food in a beautiful environment that’s always changing with the seasons.

Interiors Kitchen and Interiors Showroom Spring Gardening Early Spring Gardening Hardy annuals can be sown in pots to provide colour in the garden. In mild areas with light soil, you can sow directly outside. Modular trays are useful for sowing half-hardy summer bedding plants such as marigolds (Tagetes), Lobelia, and Petunia. Sweet peas can be sown outside this month. Plant out autumn-sown sweet peas that have been raised in pots, and prepare your wigwam supports for them to climb, using a light twine to tie the plants in. Plant summer-flowering bulbs, if not done already. Prepare the soil first, to ensure that drainage is sufficient to prevent the bulbs rotting. When space becomes available in the greenhouse, pot up cuttings of tender perennials taken last summer and at the beginning of this year. You can still plant herbaceous perennials such as Geranium, Astrantia and Oriental poppies. Check that the plants you buy have strong, green shoots and plant them into well-prepared soil. Plan a continuous crop of cut flowers for this summer. Perennials such as delphiniums and annuals can be grown to produce a useful and beautiful display. Towards the end of the month, in mild areas, you may be able to plant up your hanging baskets for the summer. AFTERNOON TEA Enjoyed in the Walled Garden restaurant
